Retreats are customized according to your individual needs. A Home Away is an economical alternative to institutional care within the traditional healthcare system. While fees may vary, the usual all-inclusive cost for a forty-two day stay, complete with counselling, all sessions and resource materials, is $18,525 (Canadian)*.

A large investment of money? Yes. Consider how much has been spent on your drink or drug of choice? Consider how much has been wasted in terms of resources and opportunity. Addiction is a chronic, progressive and fatal disease; consider what your life is worth.

Length of stays are flexible. The core primary program is 42 days.

International guests are welcome.

Private accomodation: The cost for the core, forty-two day program is $18,525 (Canadian)*. This is all-inclusive of accommodation in your own private bedroom, meals, sessions, therapy, and resource materials. A 5% federal tax (GST) applies. The only additional cost is for recreation expenses that vary by season and activity. The average recreation expense is $375 per 42 days.

Deluxe: Upgrade your program stay to premium accommodation of a large master bedroom with private ensuite and balcony ($22,230 plus GST).

Extended stays: Programs up to three months in duration are available. The above costs are pro-rated based upon the length of your stay.

Detox: A Home Away has access to local medical detox beds. If required, we will arrange your stay for several days prior to bringing you over to continue your program of recovery with us. Detox is an additional $350 per day.

To Make A Booking

The full amount for 42 days is required to confirm your booking and to hold a room for you. This is your commitment to A Home Away and to your recovery, and is non-refundable*.

Major credit cards are accepted (VISA and MasterCard). Another expedient option to submit payment is by direct bank deposit.

To provide us with important intake information, prior to your visit, we ask guests to respond by email (info@ahomeaway.org) to the following ( 3 pages max.):

• Demographics (e.g. name, age, ethnicity, occupation etc)
• Brief outline of family of origin; what was it like growing up, what were parents & siblings like; school experience; friends
• Describe current relationships; work, friends, family
• Any medical or mental health issues including present and past treatment
• Overview of drinking or other drug use history; first use, amount consumed in last year, difficulties as a result
• What you hope to achieve as a result of attending A Home Away
• How important is recovery to you?
